The eight anomalies the official press kit names

Eight anomalies are named by the studio's own press kit, two of them marked as player-controlled — and no official page had named a single one until now.

Scope of this page

The eight anomalies named in Deep Worlds SA's public Beautiful Light press kit, the two it marks as player-controlled, and which of them official announcements had already named.

The names are Big Boy, Dogs, Juggernaut, Psy Ai, Reavers, Sheitan, Spider and Wendigo. They come from the folder names of the press kit's image tree, not from a description, a wiki entry or a patch note. Nothing in the press kit says what any of them does.

Two carry a marking in their own folder name: Juggernaut is marked Player Controlled and Wendigo is marked Player controlled, in the studio's own casing. That is the first time anomalies played by players are named individually. This site already carried a page on the announced category of player-controlled anomalies; it named none of them, because until now no source did.

Three of the eight had already been named in official announcements, and this site had already recorded them with their dates. That correspondence is the strongest part of the evidence here, because it does not rest on the press kit alone.

The other five — Dogs, Psy Ai, Reavers, Spider and Wendigo — appear on this site for the first time. Only one of them has even an indirect earlier trace, and that trace is not an identification.

Roster

The eight names, as the press kit writes them

Each line reproduces the name as the folder carries it, including the player-controlled markings the studio itself applies.

  • Big Boy

Named in the press kit, and already named in two official announcements: DEV UPDATE #7 of 2025-09-15 presented a Big Boy PvE anomaly model, and DEV UPDATE #8 of 2026-02-26 described Big Boy prototype animations. The press kit name and the announcements agree.

  • Dogs

Named in the press kit. No official announcement recorded on this site names it. Nothing establishes whether Dogs is a single anomaly, a group, or a category.

  • Juggernaut — marked Player Controlled

Named in the press kit with an explicit Player Controlled marking. The 2024 review published on 2025-01-27 had already named the Juggernaut as the first playable anomaly, dated to July 2024. The two agree, and the press kit marking corroborates the announcement.

  • Psy Ai

Named in the press kit, in the studio's own casing. No official announcement recorded on this site names it.

  • Reavers

Named in the press kit. No official announcement recorded on this site names it. The plural is the studio's.

  • Sheitan

Named in the press kit. DEV UPDATE #4 of 2024-12-04 had named the Sheitan as a new PvE anomaly and stated it was in its animation phase and not yet implemented. The press kit shows material exists under that name; it does not show the Sheitan has since been implemented.

  • Spider

Named in the press kit. DEV UPDATE #6 of 2025-05-26 reported an unnamed spider-woman-like AI anomaly in development. The two may refer to the same thing, and this site does not treat that as established: the announcement gave no name, and the press kit gives no description.

  • Wendigo — marked Player controlled

Named in the press kit with a Player controlled marking. No official announcement recorded on this site names it. It is the second named player-controlled anomaly, and the first to appear without any prior announcement.

Player-controlled

Two anomalies are marked as player-controlled

The Juggernaut and the Wendigo carry a player-controlled marking in the press kit's own folder names. Both markings are the studio's, and the casing differs between the two — Player Controlled and Player controlled — which is reproduced here rather than normalised.

This matters because the published description of the game puts players on more than one side. That description was already recorded on this site, and it named no anomaly. Two names now attach to it.

What the marking does not say is how a player becomes one, whether every anomaly can be played, or whether the other six are exclusively AI-controlled. Six names carry no marking, and an absent marking is not a statement.

Method

How these names were obtained, and what that limits

The studio publishes a press kit at its own address, deepworlds.studio/PressKit. That address redirects permanently to a Google Drive folder shared publicly and linked from the studio's own Linktree. The folder was opened in a browser on 2026-09-04 and its folder and asset names were written down; this site's image bank document holds that record.

Only the names were read. No file was opened for its content, no statistic was taken from an image, and nothing in the folder describes what any of these entities does. A name in an asset folder establishes that the studio produced material under that name and published it — nothing more.

The folder carried no licence, no README and no stated conditions of use. That absence is what allowed the assets to be used elsewhere on this site, and it is recorded here for the same reason it is recorded there: it is a fact about the folder as consulted, not a permission granted in writing.

Limits

What this page does not establish

It does not say the roster is complete. Eight names appear in a press kit; a press kit contains what a studio chose to publish for the press, which is not the same as everything the game contains.

It does not describe a single anomaly. No ability, no statistic, no health, no rarity, no spawn behaviour and no counter is published anywhere this site has read.

It does not say any of them is playable today. No public build exists. The Sheitan was explicitly not implemented at the date it was announced, and nothing since has said otherwise.

It does not identify the Spider with the spider-woman-like anomaly of DEV UPDATE #6. The resemblance is recorded and left unresolved.

Source basis

Documented basis

Each reference shows its identifier, consultation date, and scope.

Evidence statement: On 2026-09-04 the folder structure of the public Beautiful Light press kit, reached from the studio's own PressKit address, named eight anomalies — Big Boy, Dogs, Juggernaut marked Player Controlled, Psy Ai, Reavers, Sheitan, Spider, and Wendigo marked Player controlled. Official Steam News announcements had already named the Juggernaut as the first playable anomaly on 2025-01-27, the Sheitan as a PvE anomaly not yet implemented on 2024-12-04, and a Big Boy PvE anomaly model on 2025-09-15; DEV UPDATE #6 of 2025-05-26 reported an unnamed spider-woman-like AI anomaly.

Boundary

Editorial boundary

These names come from the folder structure of the studio's public press kit, read on 2026-09-04. They establish that the studio produced and published material under these names. They establish no ability, no statistic, no rarity, no behaviour, and no guarantee that the list is complete or final.
