The minimum and recommended system requirements Beautiful Light displays on Steam and on the Epic Games Store, compared line by line, with every divergence between the two official listings recorded.
A pre-release specification is a statement of intent, not a measurement. Neither list can be verified against a running build, because no public build exists. What can be established is what each storefront displays today, and the fact that the two do not agree.
The divergences are not rounding differences. Steam's minimum graphics card is a GeForce GTX 970; Epic's is a GeForce GTX 1080, two generations later. Steam's recommended memory is 6 GB, which is also the figure it gives as its minimum; Epic's recommended memory is 16. Steam's recommended operating system is Windows 10, the same one it gives as minimum; Epic's is Windows 11.
One entry cannot describe an existing product. Epic's recommended graphics card is written « NVIDIA GeForce GTX 3060 ». No GTX 3060 exists: the 3060 was released as an RTX card. This site records the string as displayed and does not substitute what the listing was likely meant to say.
Both storefronts warn that the figures are provisional. Steam's additional notes read « Temporary » for both tiers. Epic states that system requirements are subject to change. Nothing on this page should be treated as a final specification, and it will be re-read against both sources before it is presented as current.

Both lists were read on 2026-09-04. A line marked as a divergence means the two storefronts publish different values for the same field.

Recommended requirements, and the widest gap between the two
The recommended tier is where the two listings separate most. On three of six comparable fields they publish different values.

What this page does not establish
It does not say which list is correct. Both are official, both are current, and nothing published by the studio arbitrates between them.
It does not say what the game actually needs to run. No public build exists, so no figure here has been tested against anything.
It does not correct the graphics card designation on the Epic listing. The string is recorded as displayed, because guessing the intended product would replace an observation with an inference.
It does not treat either list as final. Both storefronts state that the figures may change, and this page carries its consultation date for that reason.
