Operator appearance: ten skins named by the press kit

Ten operator skins exist as published material and a customisation system has been dated to February 2024 — and no source says how a player gets any of it.

Scope of this page

The ten operator skins carried by Deep Worlds SA's public Beautiful Light press kit, the announced face paints, and the Skin Forge dated to February 2024 by an official announcement.

This site's page on the operator role records what the official description publishes: a collective role, the Enter. Secure. Extract. loop, and opposition from other operators. It publishes no individual operator, no class and no appearance. That is still true, and this page does not change it.

What the press kit adds is material, not description. Its inventory, read on 2026-09-04, carried ten operator skins, alongside face paints presented as announced. The skins are counted, not named individually: our record holds the count and not a list of titles, and this page does not invent titles it does not hold.

A system for this was named and dated well before the press kit was read. The 2024 review published on 2025-01-27 dates the first iteration of the Skin Forge to February 2024 and describes it as allowing character customisation. So a customisation system, ten skins and announced face paints are three separate published facts that fit together — and fitting together is not the same as being one confirmed feature.

What no source publishes is the connection a player would care about: whether skins are earned, bought, unlocked by progression, or tied to an edition. Nothing read by this site addresses it, and this page does not guess.

Material

What the press kit carries

Recorded from the inventory of 2026-09-04. The count is the record; individual skin titles were not retained, and are therefore not published here.

  • Ten operator skins

The inventory recorded ten operator skins in the press kit's image tree. Ten is the count as recorded; no title, no rarity and no set membership was retained, and none is invented here.

  • Face paints, announced

Face paints were recorded as announced alongside the skins. The wording of the record is announced, not delivered, and it is reproduced with that distinction intact.

  • The Skin Forge, dated February 2024

The official 2024 review of 2025-01-27 dates the first iteration of the Skin Forge to February 2024 and describes it as allowing character customisation. It is a first iteration by the studio's own wording, and a date is not a state.

Unconnected

Three published facts that no source joins together

A customisation system exists by announcement. Ten skins exist as published material. Face paints are announced. No official source states that the ten skins are made in the Skin Forge, or that the Skin Forge is how a player obtains any of them.

That join looks obvious, and it is exactly the kind of join this site refuses to make silently. A reader who came away believing the Skin Forge produces these ten skins would believe something no source has published.

If the studio publishes that link, it becomes a fact with a date and it will be recorded here. Until then, three facts stay three facts.

Method

How these names were obtained, and what that limits

The studio publishes a press kit at its own address, deepworlds.studio/PressKit. That address redirects permanently to a Google Drive folder shared publicly and linked from the studio's own Linktree. The folder was opened in a browser on 2026-09-04 and its folder and asset names were written down; this site's image bank document holds that record.

Only the names were read. No file was opened for its content, no statistic was taken from an image, and nothing in the folder describes what any of these entities does. A name in an asset folder establishes that the studio produced material under that name and published it — nothing more.

The folder carried no licence, no README and no stated conditions of use. That absence is what allowed the assets to be used elsewhere on this site, and it is recorded here for the same reason it is recorded there: it is a fact about the folder as consulted, not a permission granted in writing.

Limits

What this page does not establish

It names no skin. The count was recorded; the titles were not, and inventing them would be fabrication.

It says nothing about how skins are obtained. Earned, bought, unlocked, edition-bound — no source read by this site addresses the question.

It does not describe any individual operator. The published operator role remains collective, and the presence of skins does not create classes, characters or roles.

It does not say ten is the total. It is what the press kit carried on the day it was read.

Source basis

Documented basis

Each reference shows its identifier, consultation date, and scope.

Evidence statement: The inventory of the public Beautiful Light press kit read on 2026-09-04 recorded ten operator skins and face paints presented as announced. The official Steam News 2024 review published on 2025-01-27 dates the first iteration of the Skin Forge, described as allowing character customisation, to February 2024. No source read by this site links the Skin Forge to those ten skins or states how any skin is obtained.

Boundary

Editorial boundary

The count of ten skins comes from this site's inventory of the studio's public press kit, read on 2026-09-04. The Skin Forge and its February 2024 date come from an official announcement of 2025-01-27. Neither establishes how skins are obtained, whether they are bought, or what any of them is called.
