Scope of this page
The trader material named in Deep Worlds SA's public Beautiful Light press kit, set against the three Traders Steam and the official FAQ announce without naming.
The announced figure is precise and unnamed. Steam's Early Access Features section publishes a PMC Progression Skill Tree and 3 Traders, and the official Extended FAQ states the same Early Access target. Neither names a trader, describes what any of them sells, or says where they are found.
The press kit carries names but no count that lines up. Its trader material, recorded on 2026-09-04, names Doc, an equipment trader, a technical room, and two weapon traders marked BLUFOR and OPFOR. Read as separate entities, that is more than three trading places; read as material for three traders plus their surroundings, it is compatible with three.
Both readings are available and neither is published. This site records the tension instead of choosing: counting press kit folders is not counting traders, and a technical room may be a place rather than a merchant.
One thing the press kit does add without ambiguity is a faction vocabulary. BLUFOR and OPFOR are the studio's own markings on two weapon traders, and they are the first faction terms attached to anything in this game's published material.
Three Traders, named by nobody
The Early Access plan on Steam and in the official FAQ, both consulted on 2026-08-29, announces 3 Traders alongside a PMC Progression Skill Tree.
That is a count without content. No trader is named, no inventory is described, no currency is stated and no location is given. This site's page on PMC progression and Traders records that and adds nothing to it.
What the press kit's trader material carries
Recorded from the inventory of 2026-09-04. The wording of the record is reproduced; nothing is grouped, merged or counted into a total.
-
Doc
The only trader named with a proper name. Nothing recorded says what Doc sells, where Doc is, or whether Doc is one of the three announced Traders.
-
An equipment trader
Recorded as an equipment trader, without a name. Whether this is a distinct trader or another view of one already listed is not established.
-
A technical room
Recorded as a technical room. It is the entry least clearly a trader at all: a room is a place, and no source says a merchant stands in it.
-
Two weapon traders, marked BLUFOR and OPFOR
Recorded as two weapon traders carrying the markings BLUFOR and OPFOR. These are the studio's own terms, and they are the first faction vocabulary attached to any published Beautiful Light material read by this site.
Why this page does not add these up
Adding Doc, an equipment trader, a technical room and two weapon traders gives five entries, which would contradict the announced three. That subtraction would be a finding — if the two sources were counting the same thing, and nothing says they are.
A press kit organises assets, not game entities. Two folders can serve one trader; a room can be scenery. Announcing three Traders and shipping art for five places are not in conflict until a source says they describe the same set.
So the honest record is: a precise announced count with no names, and a set of names with no count. This site publishes both and marks the join as unestablished. A visitor is better served by knowing the question is open than by a number this site invented.
How these names were obtained, and what that limits
The studio publishes a press kit at its own address, deepworlds.studio/PressKit. That address redirects permanently to a Google Drive folder shared publicly and linked from the studio's own Linktree. The folder was opened in a browser on 2026-09-04 and its folder and asset names were written down; this site's image bank document holds that record.
Only the names were read. No file was opened for its content, no statistic was taken from an image, and nothing in the folder describes what any of these entities does. A name in an asset folder establishes that the studio produced material under that name and published it — nothing more.
The folder carried no licence, no README and no stated conditions of use. That absence is what allowed the assets to be used elsewhere on this site, and it is recorded here for the same reason it is recorded there: it is a fact about the folder as consulted, not a permission granted in writing.
What this page does not establish
It does not say how many traders the game has. Three is announced; the press kit names are not a count.
It publishes no inventory, no price and no currency. The economy is unannounced beyond the existence of traders and a progression tree.
It does not define BLUFOR and OPFOR as factions of the game world. They are markings on two weapon traders, and no source read by this site explains them.
It does not say Doc is one of the three announced Traders. Nothing published makes that link.
